Facts about Dolphins

• Dolphins have lungs and breathe air and they get oxygen from a hole on top of their heads.
• Baby dolphins can swim as soon as their born and they drink milk from the mother's body.
• Dolphins live in groups called pods and they catch prey together by swimming in circles around the school of fish.

The Dr. Seuss Story Book

This book has 4 stories. The first one is called McElligot's Pool. In the story there was a boy fishing in the pool. A man came up to him and said "You'll only catch garbage because people throw in the pool." The boy said in a rhyme that if he was patient enough he might catch one.

Maths is Fun.com Review

 Today my class went on a website called Maths Is Fun.com. It is a fun math website. There are so many things that you can learn and play. I played chess with my friend and it was really fun. Two things I like about the website is that it is free and it is fun.

99Maths

 

Today my class played 2 rounds of 99Maths. I came 6th in both. The mode was comparing <=>. I was slow at tapping the answers and that what I need to improve on.

Today my class played 99Maths. I came first place with 800 points. I got 1 incorrect answer and 81 correct answers.

My Pet Slime Summary

  

This book is called My Pet Slime.                                                                       By Courtney Sheinmel and Illustrations by Renee Kurilla. 

Summary

The main character is a Girl named Piper. The story starts at Piper's school. At school the subject was Show and Tell. Her friend was last and he talked about hes hamster. She wanted a pet too but she is allergic to almost all the animals. When she got home she was sad. Piper likes slime so she came up with an idea to make a pet out of slime. 

Review

I found this book on Epic. The book has a "read to me" feature. I give this book a 5 out of 5 because it was easy to read the book and I liked how Piper found a way to deal with her problem. I recommended this book to kids because it is a great book.

99Maths

 

Today we played 99 Math and my score was 1870. The winner had over 3000 points. I had the best accuracy of %99. Next time I play I will try to type faster and figure the answer out really fast.

Pepeha

 

This is the last task I will post on 2021. I hope you all a merry christmas and a happy new year.

We are learning to speak clearly when sharing our learning. There were two parts to this task. The first part was to record our pepeha and make it into a QR code. The second part was to go on scratch and do our pepeha on there. The first pepeha was in the language that was from our culture. The second one was in maori.

The challenge I faced in the first part was that my pepeha in the language I speak was incorrect. When I went home I got it corrected by my mother.  The challenge in the second task was that I wasn't to good in maori. My teacher helped me correct it.

I really liked this task because people could learn more about me and get to know me better.

The task was to write feelings we have felt before. This task was fun to do because it was a way of showing how I feel when I feel those feelings. While doing the task I learned that people express their feelings different for example when someone is angry they might cry or fight. Do you have troubles expressing your feelings.
