My Speech
16.9.2020
Heroes are ordinary people
Are they?
Why are heroes ordinary people? In my opinion I think heroes are ordinary people. Sir Edmund Hillary and Kate Sheppard are my two of my favorite NZ heroes because Sir Edmund Hillary didn’t just climb Mount Everest he also opened schools in Nepal for people who couldn’t afford school fees and Kate Sheppard stood up for women rights.
Heroes can be you and me just by picking up rubbish. The ANZAC’s (Australian New Zealand Army Corps) are extraordinary because they sacrificed their lives for New Zealand and Australia and their futures. You can be a hero by doing good things and not rubbing it in people's faces. To be a hero you should respect every single person’s culture. Respect people for who they are and use polite words. You don't become a hero just because you're famous you become a hero if you treat others respectfully.
Finally Jacinda ardern is not a hero. She is just doing her job and gets paid doing it however that is just my opinion, You might have a different opinion on everything I have said.
Thank you for listening to my speech.

Information report on bacteria and viruses
Today I am going to write about bacteria and viruses so let's zoom in. First let's write about bacteria and then we will write about viruses.
Bacteria
Some bacteria can survive extreme conditions. Bacteria has some interesting facts like you can eat bacteria , bacteria is fast and most bacteria are good. Bacteria was discovered in 1674 and they only live for light years. Bacteria come in unique ways and they are older than dirt. Bacteria was on Earth for more than 3.5 billion years making them the oldest life on Earth. All the bacteria in your body weighs about 4 pounds.
Humans cannot live without bacteria because the oxygen we breathe is probably made by the help bacteria. There are about 40 million bacteria in a gram for soil. There are around as many bacteria cells in a human body as there are human cells. Bacteria are used to help the environment by treating sewage and breaking down oil from oil spills. Some bacteria have chemicals that can generate light and this is called bioluminescence. Most bacteria are really helpful and the best thing about bacteria is that it isn't bad for your health.
Viruses
Viruses are things that you don't want to get because it will give you flu , diseases , cold and coughs. Some viruses can also kill you like the coronavirus. Viruses destroy bacteria that's inside your body and the cells in your body. It is hard for bacteria to see the viruses because it is really small. Viruses have a basic structure of their DNA inside the outer protein shell and some fats. This is why viruses cannot be considered organisms and they are not actually living but really they just float around in your body waiting to contact a host.
When they enter a host they reproduce and that is where the true terror is found. Once the viruses inside the host they hijack the cells of the organism by entering the cell membrane. After they enter they take over the protein building structures of the host cell and once they do they force it to replicate the virus instead. The cell starts to replicate the virus and then the cell overflows and explodes then the virus goes to the other cells and starts to affect those cells. That is how an infection spreads and that is why we get sick. Even though we get sick our will bodies are smart and will protect us and save us from getting even more sick.
That is why we protect yourself from getting sick. Now it's time for me to zoom out.
