          My New Zealand Hero

                  

Heroes are people who change the world around them for the people. There have been lots of people in the world who are remembered for what they did.  In New Zealand there have been and there are lots of people who are heroes because of what they did. My NZ hero is Kate Sheppard. She allowed women to vote. Kate Sheppard was the leader of the women’s suffrage movement. Kate Sheppard was born in England, United Kingdom.  She came to New Zealand in 1868 with her family. She encouraged women to have equal rights as men. She is also on the $10 dollar note.
