Kia Ora Neha,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.
I really enjoyed this haiku activity as I love to read poetry and I think haikus are a very fun form of poetry with their syllable rules and simplicity.
Your haiku is well written, you followed the 5, 7, 5 syllable rule perfectly and I think your theme is very relevant to summer and this christmas season with the sun rising early in the morning. I really liked your final line “flowers are waking” . It is a beautiful message and your image relates and adds depth to your haiku.
What was your inspiration for this haiku? And may I encourage you to step up your work by writing two more haikus and even include a clip of you reading them aloud.
Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.
Ngā mihi nui,
Zana Yates
